gotsnoluv4ya January 27, 2012 at 2:55 am

Do you use a scrub instead of showering normally, before showering, or after showering?

acrow11 January 27, 2012 at 3:48 am

I might like for it to “suds” a bit. I am wondering if all this is OK to go down the shower drain?

simplyext January 27, 2012 at 8:09 am

@keishabj Hi there, I still use the leave in conditioner called Knot Today. I have been trying some new products, which I like. I shampooed once with the Shea Moisture African black soap anti-dandruff and itch shampoo (black label), then did a second wash using Yes To Carrots conditioner, then used Aubrey Organics GPB mixed with some avocado oil. After I rinsed, I applied more avocado oil and the leave in, blow dried loosely to make is less damp, then twisted with SM hair milk (orange label).

keishabj January 27, 2012 at 10:57 am

Hello, are you still using Kinky Curly products? I’m going to try again your way

avantgardemediatv January 27, 2012 at 11:31 am

I use the spiral spritz the same way you do and I love it that way. Only, I don’t put the KCCC on top. I just use it on top of the Knot Today. It helps me save my KCCC for special occasions :o )

ladybuke January 27, 2012 at 12:12 pm

thanks 4 the information on how to apply the custard. I will try this i have a twa and didnt like the product because i thought it didn’t define my curls i will try twist like you did and see if i like it.

NaturalJourney January 27, 2012 at 12:16 pm

@ilovetorunandsurf I haven’t used KBB in a while, but my favorite scent is Egyptian Musk I believe.

ilovetorunandsurf January 27, 2012 at 12:42 pm

@Delta0684 So blessed to be an inspiration to you! Let me know how your big chop goes and keep me posted on what you learn.

NaturalJourney January 27, 2012 at 1:10 pm

@Delta0684 I’m praying you have a great big chop and hair growth journey! It will certainly take some getting use to, but always keep in mind that you are uniquely and wonderfully made and that part of your journey is to re-educate yourself about how to style and maintain your natural hair. It is amazing how different it is from styling and maintaining relaxed hair. You will have to walk confidently and embrace your new look! You can do it!!!

NaturalJourney January 27, 2012 at 1:55 pm

@tressfreecre8tions Hey there…thanks so much for your encouraging words! It is truly a blessing to know I have inspired other ladies to go natural! I am hoping to get back to making videos in the near future! So stay tuned!!!

Delta0684 January 27, 2012 at 2:20 pm

You have been an inspiration to me in my quest to go natural. I have not gotten a perm since November 2009 and plan to do the big chop in 10 days; no patience to wait for it to grow out. I am soooo scared because I have a longer face (Lynn Whitfield(ish) and not sure if I am going to look funny, but after watching Chris Rock’s movie Good Hair, that was only confirmation in my decision to go natural. Thank you so much for sharing your journey and good information.

@PrettyBrownEyes718

PrettyBrownEyes718 January 27, 2012 at 4:50 pm

Hey, how is your journey going??

NaturalJourney January 27, 2012 at 5:16 pm

Hey there…thanks…I just did!

NaturalJourney January 27, 2012 at 5:28 pm

Hey lady!! I don’t get white residue when I first put it on, but if I have too much product build up or if my hair gets too dry it will either get really tacky or flaky.

NaturalJourney January 27, 2012 at 5:44 pm

Good for you! It is my pleasure and blessing!!

falalah81 January 27, 2012 at 5:53 pm

I just Sub to your chanel please return the love!

OpenHeartedMe January 27, 2012 at 6:19 pm

Hey girly! Your hair is growing beautifully so far!!! I have a quedstion for you though, when you use the kinky curly products do they go on white and then dry white for you? At first I thought that was happening for me because I maybe had residue left on my hair but even after I deep condition, shampoo, and condition it still l4eaves residue! Help! lol

lovelybabiicakes January 27, 2012 at 6:57 pm

I wanted to let you know that I did the BIG CHOP…I feel so good! Thanks for the encouragement and the advice! : )

NaturalJourney January 27, 2012 at 7:36 pm

Thanks for subbing and for all the compliments! I have not tried CD’s hair milk. I know other people who have and liked it, but I really like the KBB.

NaturalJourney January 27, 2012 at 8:03 pm

Thanks!!

gurley0419 January 27, 2012 at 8:17 pm

I just ran across your page….Beautiful hair! I just did the big chop 3 weeks ago, and I’m loving my hair. I LOVE it! I also have the Kinky Curly products…love them!!! They really do define my curls. I can’t wait for my hair to get a little longer to have those bigger curls. I am definitely going to purchase the Hair Milk from KBB. Have you tried the Hair Milk from Carols Daughter??? Wonder which is better? Great video….you have a new subbie!

lakerry January 27, 2012 at 8:40 pm

Great vid! You look Great!

NaturalJourney January 27, 2012 at 8:59 pm

Hey there!! Thanks for the compliments!! How exciting that you did your Big Chop!! How do you feel? You should also try the Karen’s Body Beautiful Hair Milk. That works nice as well and I think dries better than Kinky Curly because it leaves your hair soft. Anyway, many blessings for your journey!!! Keep me posted on your adventures.
